Executizing - did I just say that? What do I mean by it? Clarifying the best language for convincing business executives to provide the support you need to build a healthy Lean culture.
For example, let's take the term "respect for people"
Now let's executize it.
Respect for people in business executive friendly language means: provide employees what they need to perform their jobs better, then hold them accountable for improved performance.
Of course, there are good, and not so good, ways of "providing" and "holding accountable", but that is another posting.
What is important here is the following:
"Gaining business executive support will always be more effective if you tell them what you need, in the way they want to here it."
How does executizing apply to Hoshin Kanri?
Modifying language to communicate better with the different parts and the different levels of your organization is part of the strategy deployment framework and is actually an expression of the "respect for people" concept.
